Volunteer Receptionist
Do you have excellent communication skills and enjoy helping others? We are looking for friendly and professional Volunteer Receptionists to join our team. As a key point of contact, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for all who visit our Hospice.
We do not have any volunteer Receptionist roles available at the moment, however, if you would like to register your interest, we will contact you when a role becomes available.
How you can help
- Greet visitors on arrival and make them feel welcome
- Answer calls and direct them to the appropriate departments
- Notify relevant staff members when patients and visitors arrive
- Deal with ad-hoc administrative duties and in-person enquiries
- Ensuring a tidy and organized reception area
- You will be privy to highly sensitive information and must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Commit to Garden House Hospice Care’s mission and values.

Training and support
- No prior experience is necessary: training will be provided
- This role is subject to a DBS check and mandatory training
- You will be supported in your role by a member of staff
- You will be entitled to receive free access to our Volunteer Assistance Programme, which offers confidential support and advice.
