Join 'Team Garden House' and run for Garden House Hospice Care as we team up with BurntHare Events for the Hitchin Half Marathon & Tough 10k.

We have limited places available at the Hitchin Half Marathon & Tough 10k which, given the route it takes around mostly hilly roads, is set to be a challenge for even the most experienced runner. Both routes start at the Hitchin Priory, taking you into the village of Charlton and almost immediately encountering the first climb.

This event is great if you are a keen runner and want to test yourself, all while feeling good knowing you've supported a local charity at a local event!

Age restrictions

You must be 15 or older on event day to take part in the Hitchin Tough 10k, and 17 to take part in the Hitchin Half Marathon.

Please note: Adults must book for anyone under 18 at the time of booking. Please choose the relevant ticket when registering and include your details first, then fill in the attendee details on the second screen.

Registration

The registration fee for this event is £17 per person for the Tough 10k or £23 per person for the Half Marathon. Both prices includes a free 'Team Garden House' running vest or technical t-shirt - you can confirm your preference and size upon sign-up.

Sponsorship

Half Marathon: We ask each runner to pledge to raise a minimum of £199 for Garden House Hospice Care. This amount could fund up to five visits to a patient's home by our community nursing team; each visit could range from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours.

Tough 10k: We ask each runner to pledge to raise a minimum of £99 for Garden House Hospice Care. This amount could fund more than four hours of care on our Inpatient Unit for one patient, including the cost of nursing and our doctors, as well as running costs like hot water and keeping the unit clean.
