Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer we can increase the value of your donated goods by 25% using the Gift Aid scheme, at no extra cost to you!
If you are a UK tax payer, Garden House Hospice Care can reclaim the tax you have already paid on every donation you make, which now includes items donated to our shops. By agreeing to Gift Aid, the value of your sold items will increase by 25% because we can claim that back from HM Revenue and Customs.
Donor Gift Aid Declaration
- I want to Gift Aid my current donation and any donations I may make in the future or have made in the past 4 years to Garden House Hospice Care.
- I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
- I will notify Garden House Hospice Trading Limited of any change in my personal circumstances, such as name and address, or that I no longer pay UK Income or Capital Gains tax or I wish to cancel the declaration.
- I confirm that Garden House Hospice Trading Limited shall act as my agent to sell the donated goods for which it shall receive a commission of 3% plus VAT and that the net process of sale will be given to Garden House Hospice Care.
- If my proceeds do not exceed £1,000 in any tax year I understand Garden House Hospice Trading Limited will not contact me with an Annual Statement.
- I confirm that the goods being sold belong to me.
