Make a Difference this Christmas by funding the compassionate care of patients and families in your community As more local people face the prospect of spending this Christmas receiving palliative care following the diagnosis of a life limiting illness, we at Garden House Hospice Care need to ensure we will be there to support our community. We need to raise £90,000 to cover the cost of running the Hospice and all its services across the ’12 Days of Christmas’ (This equates to £7,500 per day over this festive period). Raising our target will enable us to provide the best possible quality of life by offering care and support to patients, their families and carers. We are reaching out and asking for the support of 12 local companies to each sponsor the Hospice for one day over the 12 Days of Christmas. This could be in the form of a donation or a commitment to fundraise or work in partnership with the Hospice to raise the desired £7,500 to run the Hospice for a full day over Christmas. For some people, this Christmas will be their last. Your support means we can give local families a Christmas to remember, a Christmas of caring, compassionate support and special times together. It costs £7,500 to pay for our care each day, but the gift of a memorable final Christmas is priceless. We know that the Government will not provide any further support to Hospices this year, so we are even more reliant on fundraising. More so than ever we need the support of the businesses within our community as we continue to recover from the impact of the pandemic.
