Light up the night in Letchworth at this year's Sunset Starlight Walk
Walk alongside us at our annual Sunset Starlight Walk on Saturday 13th September and help bring in vital income to fund our specialist palliative care.
The 6.5 mile circular route starts at Letchworth Hall Hotel at 6.30pm, circling the villages and countryside surrounding the town as the sun sets and the stars come out. Many people take part in our ‘walk to remember’ in memory of a loved one, with others taking on a personal challenge or simply enjoying a late summer evening’s walk with a group of friends, family, or colleagues.
No matter the reason, the sponsorship and donations given through the event make a significant impact. We now need to raise £10,542 a day in charitable income to continue providing our services free of charge in North Hertfordshire.

Adam Brockett is Product and Events Lead at Garden House Hospice Care:
“Demand for our services is on the rise, yet in today’s financial climate, our ability to raise the funds we need is becoming increasingly difficult. We are so grateful to every person who walks alongside us and raise sponsorship.
“Sunset Starlight Walk is such a popular event, which is why it remains in our events calendar every year. It offers a real sense of camaraderie from registration all the way through to crossing the finish line. People aren’t ‘just taking part’; they are walking in their local community, and directly supporting others from that same community who rely on us every day.”

Below are some quotes from previous Sunset Starlight Walkers:
“I loved it, it was such a good experience and such a good opportunity to have a little chit chat with loved ones on my walk around. The welcome back at the end is a huge plus and heightens that sense of achievement.”
“It was really good fun, really worth doing and it’s really inclusive - I think anyone could come along and do it - children, adults, dogs! And of course it’s for a really worthy cause which is dear to so many people.”
Tickets are £23 for adults and £10 for children under-18. Register online by Wednesday 10th September or in person from 5pm on the night.
