Friends of Garden House Hospice

As a Friend of Garden House Hospice Care (FOGHHs) volunteer, you will be helping to raise vital funds for the hospice. This group of passionate and enthusiastic volunteers represent the hospice at local events, organising fundraising activities, and hosting stalls across the Letchworth, Stevenage, and Hitchin areas. Your involvement will directly contribute to the success of our fundraising efforts, ensuring we can continue to provide essential care and services to our patients.

How you can help

  • If you enjoy fundraising or have a passion for arts and crafts or baking, this could be a great role for you!
  • Bring your enthusiasm and creativity; contribute to new fundraising ideas
  • Represent the Hospice at events, like the black-tie ball or run our own such as the Christmas Craft Fair
  • Hold stalls at community events; bake cakes, sell raffle tickets, knit Charlie Chicks… there are so many ways you can help
  • Commit to Garden House Hospice Care’s mission and values.

Training and support

  • You will be invited to attend a monthly meeting to plan events and discuss new ideas
  • You will always be supported by a member of the team and receive a full briefing prior to any event
  • You will be entitled to receive free access to our Volunteer Assistance Programme, which offers confidential support and advice.
