Every moment matters.
Please donate today and help our Rehab and Wellbeing team provide their life-changing services for more people.

Daily life becomes difficult when you’re living with a long-term condition. As your illness advances, the things you enjoy, even simple tasks like getting out of bed, become harder.
Our passionate Rehab and Wellbeing team support people to maintain skills, confidence and optimise their quality of life, enabling them to live well with a diagnosis and do the things in life that bring them joy. They support with symptom control, provide rehabilitation and social opportunities in an environment that is friendly, welcoming and relaxed.
They help make every moment matter.
The need for this specialist care is growing. We are addressing longstanding inequalities in access to our care for those with a non-cancer diagnosis. Last year, 45% of our patients had cancer, down from 55% the year before. With the highest End-of-Life register population in East & North Hertfordshire, we estimate that 5,000+ people are likely eligible for but not accessing our services. That's why it's so important we continue our work to meet this need.
Gillian's story
Gillian first came to us in November 2024 after one of our team attended her Lung Cancer support group and introduced our Rehab and Wellbeing day services to her.
She started in our Movement Monday group where she found not only physical support, but a great social group. Any initial worries she had about coming to a hospice were quickly dispelled.
What our patients say
- 100% were satisfied or very satisfied with the personal plan made with staff to address their needs
- 100% agreed the sessions they attended helped maintain or improve their strength, confidence or independence
- 85% agreed attending the sessions helped them feel less isolated/more supported.
Donate now
More and more people living with advancing illnesses are in need of our individualised support, whether they are on bedrest and need specialist care to prevent muscle loss, are hoping to improve their mobility enough to be able to play with their grandchildren again, or are socially isolated.
Please donate today so we can walk alongside them, easing what’s hard and helping them maintain skills, confidence and quality of life, enabling them to live well with a diagnosis and continue doing the things in life that matter.
