Our preloved fashion shop in Hitchin is home to a carefully curated selection of 90s, Y2K and handpicked wonders. Threads focuses exclusively on sustainable, affordable clothing and accessories, with a second floor - The Outlet - filled with even more secondhand items for £5 and under.

Our Threads shop in Churchgate, Hitchin will close after trading on Wednesday 2nd September 2026 - but Threads is not disappearing.
Over the past three years, Threads has built a distinctive identity and a fantastic following. Unfortunately, operating the brand from a standalone premises is not financially sustainable.
Threads will continue as a dedicated concession within our Hitchin Bancroft store, and we will also look for opportunities to bring Threads to local pop-ups and events.
Thank you to the staff, volunteers, customers, donors and followers who have supported Threads and helped make the brand what it is. We look forward to seeing you at Bancroft and through the next chapter of Threads.
Threads is no longer accepting donations; however, we continue to welcome donations through our other high street stores and at The Depot.
