Why £11.00? £11.00 could pay for a freshly cooked meal for a patient on our Inpatient Unit.

(This covers all costs linked with the meal, including staffing costs, costs of food and overheads, plus any snacks or certain drinks the individual may request).

What will I learn?

By the end of the session participants will be able to:

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of different illnesses/conditions that can be exacerbated in palliative care.
• Understand the potential warning signs of a deteriorating patient and indicators for SEPSIS.
• Be aware of how/when to complete a National Early Warning Score 2 (NEWS 2) and consider potential procedures/management.
