Community Transport Administrator (15 hours p/w)

Letchworth Heritage Foundation have kindly donated a 7-seater minibus which will enable us to provide a local transport service to people who might otherwise find transport a barrier to attending the Hospice, our Wellbeing or Social hubs and other wider community groups such as the Dementia Café.
The Community Transport Administrator will be the 'glue in system' ensuring the success of this new service. The role will be office based in The Ernest Gardner Centre in Letchworth covering 15 hours per week. This will be an administrative position with day-to-day activities including:
- Establishing administration systems and processes which will allow the community transport service to run smoothly and efficiently
- Being the main point of contact for service users, volunteers and chaperones which will include managing the driver rota, keeping all vehicle documents up to date i.e. insurance, tax, MOT & servicing
- Providing a Reception service for the Ernest Gardner Centre, including the greeting of all visitors and patients
You'll be a talented, passionate individual with the knowledge and experience of working in a similar administrative role. Being able to hit the ground running, flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of this role will be essential along with confidence using Microsoft Office Suite. You will have excellent communication skills and sensitivity to be able to collect and pass on information effectively, for example to those with hearing difficulties or early-stage dementia.
