Why £22.00? £22.00 could pay for an hour of care in our Inpatient Unit for one patient. (This covers the cost of nursing and our doctors, as well as running costs like hot water and keeping the IPU clean).

What will I learn?
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of the anatomy and pathophysiology related to pressure ulcer development .
- To understand the importance nutritional assessment, Waterlow and observation skills have in assessment of skin integrity.
- To understand the term ‘aSSKINg’ and its importance in tissue viability management.
- To undertake an assessment and consider an effective management plan involving the patient and carers.
- Know when to refer on to specialist services for further assessment and advice.
