Are you looking to make a difference in your community while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced environment? The Depot is seeking enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to support our warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping us sort, organise, and distribute donated items across our retail business.
How you can help
Receive, sort and categorise donated items
Prepare stock for distribution to our stores
Support in maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse space
Assist in loading and unloading vehicles where required
Good level of fitness with the ability to move items safely (training provided)
Follow manual handling procedures and health and safety regulations
Work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers
Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and be able to commit to a regular shift on a weekday or weekend
Commit to Garden House Hospice Care’s mission and values.

Training and support
No experience necessary, full training will be provided by our helpful and friendly staff
You will work alongside other volunteers who are happy to answer any questions you may have and help you settle into your role
You will be entitled to receive free access to our Volunteer Assistance Programme, which offers confidential support and advice.
