Volunteer PAT Tester
The Depot, based in Letchworth, is our all 'under one roof' distribution centre. It plays a vital role in running our trading services. We are looking for volunteer PAT testers to assist in the testing of electrical equipment for re-sale and use in our shops, online and at The Depot itself.
If you have the required qualifications or are willing to take the online course, and you want to make a real difference, we’d love to have you join our team. Apply today and help us provide essential services while learning new skills!
How you can help
- We will provide the equipment and all mandatory training, no prior experience required!
- Volunteers must be a minimum 18 years of age
- Hold a C&G Level 3 Award in Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Testing (PAT), or be willing to take a short online qualification (paid for by us)
- Testing equipment such as TVs, stereos, small household electrical items
- Attention to detail is beneficial
- Commit to Garden House Hospice Care’s mission and values.

Training and support
- You will receive ongoing support from staff and fellow volunteers, who will always be on hand to help
- No prior experience is required, an induction and training will be given in the role
- You will be entitled to receive free access to our Volunteer Assistance Programme, which offers confidential support and advice.
