Are you passionate about customer service, fashion, sustainability, or simply enjoy a good bargain hunt? If so, join us as an Volunteer Online Assistant, supporting our Online Shopping Team!
Your role will play a key part in providing a positive customer experience, which leads to repeat business and increased sales, directly benefiting The Hospice and supporting a great cause.
How you can help
- Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and be able to commit to a regular shift on a weekday or a Saturday
- In this role, you will learn all about selling donated items on our online sales platforms such as Ebay, Vinted and Facebook
- Research items via the internet to determine value and identify trends
- You could be picking sold items from our shelves and preparing them for dispatch, using appropriate packaging
- Take high quality photographs to showcase the items to their best potential
- Write item descriptions and posting to the relevant online platforms
- Assist with stock checks, sourcing high quality items from warehouse donations
- Uphold the values and mission of Garden House Hospice Care

Training and support
- Training will be provided by our helpful and friendly staff
- You will work alongside other volunteers who are happy to answer any questions you may have and help you settle into your role
- You will be entitled to receive free access to our Volunteer Assistance Programme, which offers confidential support and advice.
