The support which the hospice receives from the local community is wonderful and more people each day are getting involved with fundraising. We need to raise almost £5 million in charitable income each year to continue to provide free hospice care to patients and families in North Hertfordshire, Stevenage and towns and villages in Central Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
Anyone can fundraise
Fundraising events come in all shapes and sizes from dressing up, not speaking for 24 hours, swimming, baking, knitting, to organising a golf day. Whether fundraising on your own or as a team there is something for everyone. Whatever your idea the team can’t wait to hear from you and will support you along the way!

Giving in celebration
Why not celebrate your special day and support Garden House Hospice Care at the same time. Whether you are celebrating a special birthday, anniversary or another occasion you can ask friends to donate to Garden House Hospice in lieu of gifts.
Invite us to talk
If you would like to know more about Garden House Hospice Care and the services we provide, we would love to come and talk to you at a meeting or assembly. We are keen to spread awareness and show the community what a difference their fundraising makes. We will adapt our talk to your audiences and will make it interesting and enjoyable for all. If there is anything specific you would like us to talk about, such as fundraising ideas, we would be more than happy to do so.
Knit a Charlie Chick for Charity!
Calling all community knitters! Our Charlie Chick campaign runs every year, with over 10,000 of our little knitted friends sold in the community each Easter. In 2019 we raised an incredible £12,000 from Charlie Chicks with every penny donated to patient care.

Printer Cartridge Recycling
We are always looking for ways to help look after the environment. We are pleased to announce that we have teamed up with a company called Printer Cartridge Recycling to help raise funds for the Hospice in an environmentally-friendly way. If you have empty ink cartridges that you no longer have a use for, Printer Cartridge Recycling will collect them from you for free.
The cartridges will then be recycled, reducing the amount of waste consigned to landfill and a donation for the cartridges will then be paid to Garden House Hospice Care by the company on your behalf.
To arrange for your cartridges to be collected, please fill in the contact form via this link: https://www.emptycartridge.co.uk/ghhc
Our friendly and professional team of fundraisers are here to support you each step of the way. If you want fundraising advice and support please contact the team on 01462 679540
