The Depot
The Depot is our all-under-one-roof distribution centre, located a stone's throw away from the Hospice in Letchworth.
Our all-under-one-roof distribution centre, The Depot, is located at 1 Protea Way, Pixmore Avenue, Letchworth, SG6 1JT and is open to the public to drop-off and purchase quality, preloved goods. The Depot plays a vital part in running our services and is where many of our donated items are sorted and prepared ahead of distribution to our shops across Stevenage, North Herts and beyond. It's the heart of our trading operation and is also the home to our Online Sales and Upcycling teams.
What time do you accept donations?
Donations are accepted from 9am-4.30pm Monday-Friday and 10am-5pm Saturday (although this may change during busy periods). No need to pre-book, just turn up and our friendly teams will be able to help. There is no limit to how many bags or boxes can be donated.
The Depot Shop
As well as dropping off your donated items, our store located at The Depot means you can purchase some goods at the same time! The shop specialises in preloved homewares and second-hand furniture, making it the perfect outlet to find that perfect addition to your home.
Our Online Sales team
The Depot is also home to our Online Sales team who photograph, list and package items sold on eBay, Vinted and other online channels. From vintage fashion and antiques to board games, toys and books, the team prepare and distribute your donated items.
The Upcycling House
Home to our team of professional upcyclers and talented volunteers, The Upcycling House is where donations of second-hand furniture are lovingly restored and made fit for sale. Whether it's a complete paint job or reupholstering, their skills help generate vital income to fund the Hospice's services in North Hertfordshire and surrounding villages.
