Senior Healthcare Assistant - Inpatient Unit

We are recruiting Senior Health Care Assistants to work alongside the qualified nursing staff in our 12 bedded Inpatient Unit. Our low patient-to-Nurse ratio allows us to provide the highest standards of individualised care to enhance the quality of life for our patients and their carers/families.

Following our recent All Staff Survey, 85% have rated the Hospice an Excellent place to work. All of us at Garden House Hospice Care are passionate about palliative care, providing support to enhance the quality of life of our patients, their families and carers who are living with life limiting illnesses. Putting our patients at the heart of everything we do starts by creating a happy and healthy place for our people. At Garden House Hospice Care, you’ll have more than just a job, you will be helping to make a real difference.

You will be an experienced Health Care Assistant and possess (or be working towards) an NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health Care. Ideally you will have experience of working in a health care setting and be able to demonstrate excellent caring, communication and team working skills. The role will at times be demanding but also very rewarding.

Applicants must be available to work a mix of shifts, including nights.

If you are interested in joining our friendly, supportive team and would like to find out more please contact Nicola Grimes on 07535 586951.

We reward our staff with autonomy in their role and a supportive culture that encourages healthy work life balance. Benefits include: 5% Employer pension contribution, 27 days annual leave in addition to Bank Holidays, free parking and on-site catering.
