Prep & Pack Volunteer
As a Prep & Pack Volunteer, you will help ensure that items sold online are prepared, packaged, and dispatched efficiently. Your role will play a key part in providing a positive customer experience, which leads to repeat business and increased sales. The funds generated from the sales will directly benefit the Hospice and the people we support, making this a highly rewarding role.
How you can help
- No prior experience is necessary, only a desire to be helpful and learn new skills
- You will pick sold items from the shelves or clothes rails using their unique identifying number
- Carefully pack each item using appropriate packing materials, ensuring it is suitably well packaged for worldwide and UK delivery
- Accurately address parcels, ensuring correct postage is applied for efficient dispatch
- Commit to Garden House Hospice Care’s mission and values
- Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and be able to commit to a regular shift on a weekday or a Saturday.

Training and support
- Training will be provided by our helpful and friendly staff
- You will work alongside other volunteers who are happy to answer any questions you may have and help you settle into your role
- You will be entitled to receive free access to our Volunteer Assistance Programme, which offers confidential support and advice.
