Nursing Team Leader

We are looking to appoint a Nursing Team Leader to support, motivate and mentor our Inpatient Unit Team here at Garden House Hospice Care.

  

What does the Nursing Team Leader role involve?

You will support the Inpatient Unit Manager to ensure optimum care standards for patients and their families. You will be a Registered Nurse with NMC Registration, supporting and overseeing nurses, AP’s, NA’s and HCA’s as well as student nurses to deliver direct and indirect care. You will be compassionate with a good understanding of the needs of patients living with life limiting illness and their loved ones.

What Skills do I need for the Nursing Team Leader role?


•    Current NMC Registration and Right to Work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
•    Experience of team and ward management
•    Experience of multidisciplinary team working
•    Ability to motivate a team and take initiative when appropriate
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Who are we and what do we do?

We are Garden House Hospice Care, the Hospice for North Hertfordshire.  We are a multi award-winning hospice that puts the patient at the heart of everything we do.  Patients on our inpatient unit are looked after by our specialist team 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We provide support and care to patients with a wide range of symptoms associated with a life-limiting illness, as well as their families. We support our patients by providing symptom control, psychological support and end of life care. Our high nurse-to-patient ratio ensures that patients are able to get the dedicated support that they might need.
