Richard’s incredible impact and the sixth annual tour

Richard Hill has made a phenomenal difference by launching and organising the annual Farmers on Christmas Lights Tour. His convoy brings over 100 festively decorated tractors to local streets, last year raising an incredible £56,000 to fund our work.

The spectacular tractor tour is now in its sixth year, and we look forward to welcoming back this brilliant community highlight. Save the date for Sunday 20th December and join us for an evening of unforgettable festive tractor fun!

Charlie Chicks

A special thank you to Dianne Lee of DLRC Regulatory Consultancy, who generously donates 15,000 Cadbury Creme Eggs each year to support our fabulous Charlie Chicks campaign. We are also incredibly grateful to the many knitters and crocheters who lovingly create thousands of chicks by hand. Together, this year’s campaign raised an amazing £22,132.80.

Dianne said: “We need our Hospice. The care, compassion and support they provide to local families is invaluable, and I’m proud to play a part in helping them continue their incredible work.”

Cathy’s selfless fundraising challenge

Our very own Community Services Manager, Cathy Hunt, bravely shaved her head to raise funds in memory of her mother and two mothers-in-law, two of whom benefited from hospice care. Motivated by the fact that we must raise around 60% of our costs through fundraising, Cathy raised £8,060.

The Garden House Hospice Cup

Organised by Roger Levett, the charity football match held at Hitchin Town’s Top Field brought our community together and raised an amazing £27,000! It was a great day with more than 60 players involved, a special appearance from former Arsenal and England midfielder, Jack Wilshire, and a fabulous crowd watching. Thank you, Roger.
