A tribute to Jamie Sinclair

We are deeply saddened to share the news that our much respected and highly valued Trustee, Jamie Sinclair, has passed away after being diagnosed with a brain tumour last year.

Jamie joined Garden House Hospice Care in February 2025 and quickly became a valued member of our Board of Trustees and Clinical Governance Committee. His extensive knowledge and experience of the healthcare system provided invaluable support during one of the most challenging periods in our recent history, helping to guide and shape discussions as we reviewed and redesigned our services to ensure we could continue meeting the needs of our patients and community.

Jamie brought wisdom, insight, enthusiasm and warmth to every Board meeting, strategy session and away day. He was generous with his time, unwavering in his commitment to the Hospice, and always willing to offer thoughtful challenge and support. His contribution to Garden House Hospice Care was significant, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

We were honoured to be able to provide care and support to Jamie, his wife Becky, and their family during the final stages of his life. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Becky, their family, friends and all those whose lives Jamie touched. His legacy and the impact he made on our Hospice will not be forgotten.
