A sustainable Christmas: shop, donate & volunteer this festive season
As the team at Garden House Hospice Trading prepare for the festive season across our 11 stores, you may wonder how you can make this Christmas more sustainable.
Shopping
Our shops are located across North Hertfordshire and stock a variety of pre-loved goods. Do go and take a look as you may find your party clothes, homeware to deck the halls and gifts and toys to fill everyone’s stockings. You might just want to spoil yourself too with blankets, candles and cushions for cosy evenings at home. With new stock arriving in store every week, you are guaranteed to find something you love.
Donating
We all know gift-buying can be tricky at times and may have stashed away a few that weren’t quite our cup of tea. Why not make the most of it by donating any unwanted gifts to our stores and letting someone else love them? Donations are warmly welcomed at The Depot and in each store. It’s a great time to make some space. The new year is too if Christmas dashes by and you find yourself in the mood for a sort-out.
Volunteering
Fancy doing something rewarding next year? Volunteering in retail is a wonderful way to give back while gaining valuable experience and meeting new people. From giving time in our stores to sorting and upcycling furniture at The Depot, you’ll be helping us generate the vital funds needed to continue providing our care.
