Spring into action: high-quality donations needed!
Garden House Hospice Care is in urgent need of high-quality donations to stock our 11 high street stores and online sales platforms.
We support a community of over 260,000 people in North Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. As a charity, we rely on generous donations to raise the £7.7 million a year it costs to provide their services. Our stores and other retail services make up around one-third of this figure, so every donation helps.
Wishlist preloved items we are looking for include: branded clothing, designer handbags, designer shoes, accessories and household items (such as electricals and furniture) in a usable condition.

Kathryn Pinn is Retail Donation Centre Manager at the Hospice:
“It's so interesting to see all the donations coming in through The Depot, house clearances and store collections. What we’d really love to see during this donation drive are those special items from your house or wardrobe that you'd be willing to donate and give a new life with someone else. You've had your joy with these items and now it's time to share that joy!”

Don’t forget to sign up to Gift Aid
If you are a UK tax payer, the Hospice can reclaim the tax you have already paid on every donation you make, which includes items donated to their stores. By agreeing to Gift Aid, the value of your sold items will increase by 25% at no extra cost to you because it can be claimed back from HM Revenue and Customs.
You can sign up for Gift Aid ahead of your visiting by downloading a form from our website, or fill one out on arrival. The Hospice will then give you a Gift Aid card which you can present to a member of the team each time you donate.
