ITV News return to Garden House to discuss funding pressures

ITV News returned to the Hospice on Monday 24th November, this time for the ITV Evening News, sharing our story with viewers across the country.

The piece shines a light on the increasing pressures facing hospice funding and why long-term, sustainable support remains essential. It also features comments from Health Minister Stephen Kinnock MP on the importance of strengthening end-of-life care, including proposals for more community-based, collaborative teams.

We’re proud that so many of the ways of working highlighted - closer partnerships between care homes and paramedics, and supporting people to receive palliative care in the place of their choosing - are already core to how our teams deliver care every day. Their commitment makes a real difference, even in the face of ongoing funding uncertainty.

Our wonderful patient Roz appears once again, alongside her sister Suzanne, who both speak so powerfully about the care we provide.
