Introduction to Upcycling

Learn how to breathe new life into your old furniture with Garden House Hospice Care’s expert team. Made up of three professional upcyclers and a team of talented volunteers, they are the perfect guides to give you an introduction to upcycling in this one-day workshop while helping the Hospice fund its vital palliative care in North Hertfordshire and surrounding villages.

Our Upcycling department take donated items and furniture that aren’t fit for sale in our shops and make them fabulous again, with paint, upholstery and decoupage amongst their skills. This workshop will show you how to do just that: preparing a piece, decorating it using high-quality paint and learning the tricks of the trade that give furniture a fresh, professional look.

You can bring along a piece of furniture from home that’s in desperate need of a refresh, or choose one from our donated pieces. All other equipment you need will be provided.
