Junior Sister / Charge Nurse
We have exciting opportunities for Registered Nurses to join our wonderful In-Patient Unit team!
Our Hospice in Letchworth Garden City provides free, specialist palliative care and support to patients, families and carers facing life limiting illnesses. We currently have positions available to join us as Junior Sister / Charge Nurse on full or part time (30) hours.
What does the Junior Sister role involve?
- You will provide specialist palliative care to patients with life limiting illness and support to their families and loved ones.
- You will deliver appropriate symptom control, care and medication, and support team members to develop these skills in practice.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care from the point of admission through to discharge or death.
- You will work alongside all members of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring collaborative working for the benefit of our patients.
What skills do I need for the Junior Sister role?
- NMC Registration.
- You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of life limiting disease management or palliative and end of life care.
- You will have the ability to assess the complex needs of patients and plan, implement and evaluate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to balance conflicting priorities and manage a challenging workload in a calm and professional manner.
