
Event terms and conditions
By registering to one of our fundraising events you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
Terms and conditions of entry
- The term 'Event' refers to any event organised by Garden House Hospice Care.
- It is acknowledged that participation in certain Events may be physically demanding, and each participant or, in the case of participants under 18 years of age, their parent or guardian is aware of the nature of the Event and associated medical and physical risks involved.
- As our Events are sponsored, we encourage everyone taking part to raise sponsorship. Please help us reach our targets by raising as much as you can.
- Each participant or, in the case of participants under 18 years of age, their parent or guardian agrees that they are physically capable of competing in the Event they sign up for and agree to be solely responsible their actions and the Event Organiser, its officers, employees, agents, affiliates, associated companies, sponsors or medical advisers are not responsible for any injury or illness that the participant may suffer as a result of his/her participation in the Event (unless caused due to the negligence of the Event Organisers).
- The participant or, in the case of participants under 18 years of age, their parent or guardian accepts that should any medical or physical condition arise prior to or on the day of the Event which is likely to affect their ability to compete; the participant will withdraw in accordance with these conditions; this also includes high temperature; feeling unwell; any participant deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
- Medical advice should be sought from a General Practitioner if a participant or, in the case of participants under 18 years of age, their parent or guardian is in any doubt about their ability to take part in the Event or has any underlying medical condition (for example uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart conditions; pregnancy).
- The Event organisers have the authority to remove a participant from the Event if judged to be physically incapable of continuing the Event without risk of serious injury.
- If there is a minimum age limit on the Event, this will be stipulated in the event and you must adhere to this.
- Participants must adhere to all directions and instructions from the Event organisers.
- Suitable clothing must be worn at all times at an Event.
- Any non-sportsmanlike conduct constitutes grounds for immediate disqualification from an Event.
- The Event entry fee, once registered, is non-refundable.
- By registering for an Event, you are agreeing that any official photographs and videos taken can be used in the promotion of this and future Garden House Hospice Care Events.
- The lead booker of an Event must be at least 18 years of age and book on behalf of any additional participants under the age of 18.
- If required Event questions are not completed by/on behalf of additional participants, we reserve the right to refuse participation on the day of the Event.
- The timing of Early Bird Offers for Events are subject to change at Garden House Hospice Care's discretion.
