Thank you for fundraising for Garden House Hospice Care. As a charity, we are only able to offer our services because of people like you.
It costs us £8.5 million a year to run our Hospice, and we need to fundraise £16,609 every single day. This covers everything from the petrol used by our Community teams when visiting patients in their own homes, the costs of medication, the bills we pay to clean our building and run our Rehab and Wellbeing activities, the salaries we pay and training we give to our expert staff, and much more.
It is a lot of money, but together, with the support of people like you, we will be there for the people who need us today, tomorrow and in the future.
Regular donations, which can be any amount to suit your budget, help us to plan sustainably and sensibly for the future. You can choose to donate monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually.
From traditional fundraising events like quizzes, cake bakes and golf days to something a bit different like open mic nights, yoga days, or art exhibitions, organise an event for your friends, family, colleagues or the general public to attend.
We love working with schools, colleges and youth groups such as Scouts or Girl Guides to raise money for our patients, whether you wish to 'Hug a Bear', stock and sell our Charlie Chicks or organise your own fundraiser.
We are supported by our volunteer fundraising groups, the Friends of Garden House Hospice (fondly known as FOGHHs), based in Stevenage and Letchworth.
