At Garden House Hospice Trading, financial performance directly supports vital hospice care services across North & East Hertfordshire. We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to help drive commercial success while contributing to meaningful, community-focused care. Our mission is to generate income that funds Garden House Hospice Care.

You’ll be a key partner to our Trading and Retail leadership teams, helping them understand performance, identify opportunities, and make confident, evidence-based decisions. You won’t just report on the numbers - you’ll help shape the future of our income-generating activities that support hospice care in the community.


What you’ll be doing

  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across Trading operations
  • Producing clear, insightful monthly management accounts and performance analysis
  • Supporting business cases, investment decisions and growth initiatives
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to operational managers and senior leaders
  • Developing KPIs, dashboards and performance reporting to drive improvement
  • Helping build financial confidence and accountability across teams
  • Supporting strong governance, financial controls and audit processes.

 

What we’re looking for a Finance Business Partner who...

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical finance skills with excellent relationship-building ability. You’ll likely bring:


  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) or substantial relevant experience
  • Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
  • Confidence translating financial data into clear, practical insight
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge
  • Bonus points if you have experience in retail, commercial trading, charity or not-for-profit environments - but this isn’t essential!
