Volunteer Receptionists

What you can expect…

You will provide a calm, professional and welcoming atmosphere to ensure our patients and other visitors feel relaxed and secure. Additional duties will include answering the phone, dealing with queries and notifying relevant staff members when patients and visitors arrive. The role can be varied and will require you to be confident under pressure and able to respond positively to challenging situations. You will be privy to highly sensitive information and must be able to maintain confidentiality.

How you can help…

Even if you're unable to commit to a regular shift, we would still love to hear from you as we often require volunteers to cover holidays or absences. You'll be making a real difference as part of an organisation that provides personalised and compassionate palliative and end of life care to thousands of local patients each year.

This role is subject to a DBS check and mandatory training.
