A daring team from local firm Admin Re (who will rebrand to ReAssure in January 2017) took to the skies Saturday 22 October in aid of Garden House Hospice Care.
Trevor Davis, CEO led fellow colleagues Tim Hodgson, Head of HR and Emma Marchant, IT, to jump out of a plane for a charity 13,000 ft tandem skydive for the local hospice.
Brave jumper Trevor Davis reiterates why he took the leap
"We have supported the hospice as our chosen charity for many years, and quite literally ‘jumped’ at the chance when we were asked by Katy at Garden House Hospice Care to take on this exhilarating challenge. As a Hitchin firm, it is important to us to give something back to our local community, whether that's providing career opportunities to supporting the work of a deserving cause such as our local hospice"
After the jump Tim Hodgson said “We were a little apprehensive in the build up to the jump. But I have to say it was a thrilling experience, and all for a very worthy cause.”
The firm have so far raised nearly £3,000 to support patients and families who are living with life-limiting illnesses.
Katy Terry, Development Manager at the hospice says "We would like to thank the Admin Re team for going to such great lengths to support our work. We need to generate over £3 million income a year to continue our services, so every £1 raised really makes a difference.”
